PAINTING Banksia Baxteri Seeds 30 X 30

Often pollinated by the New Holland Honeyeater the seeds of the Baxteri Banksia will be released after a bushfire, then germinate and grow after the rain.  The seeds can last many years.  Some seeds from 9 to 12 years old have been found to be seeds that remain 100% viable.

This original one-of-a-kind artwork has been lovingly created in my Melbourne studio.
